The Canesten cream provides a soothing relief of itching caused by thrush and it’s also an effective treatment. Canesten contains clotrimazole, which is an antifungal medicine. It works by stopping the fungi from producing ergosterol, which is an essential component of the fungal cell membranes. The cell membranes of the fungi are important for their survival. By disrupting the production of ergosterol, the antifungal medicine, clotrimazole can kill and treat the infection. |
| How to use | How to Use Thrush Cream – Canesten thrush cream is for external use only. To use this cream, simply apply the cream thinly to the affected areas 2 or 3 times a day and rub in gently. The thrush cream treatment should be continued for up to one week after treating the internal infection in women and for two weeks in men. For more information, please read the enclosed leaflet before use. If the thrush symptoms persist, then please consult your doctor for medical advice. |
